What is the 6 arcana really about?
Most people hear Lovers and think of romance, and romance is part of it. But the older meaning of the card is choice. On the Lovers tarot card two figures stand under an angel, and in older decks a young man stands between two women, having to pick. The matrix keeps both senses. The 6 is love, beauty and harmony, and it is also the moment when you must decide what you want with your whole heart instead of half of it.
A person with a strong 6 is usually warm, attractive in an easy way, sensitive to beauty and good at making people feel liked. They make friends fast. The difficulty comes when every choice feels like it could disappoint someone, so they wait, agree, and slowly lose track of their own preferences.

Five tails start with the Lovers at the inner point: the 6-5-17 karmic tail, the 6-8-20 karmic tail, the 6-14-8 karmic tail, the 6-17-11 karmic tail and the 6-20-14 karmic tail. It sits in the middle or at the end of three more: the 9-15-6 karmic tail, the 18-6-6 karmic tail and the 18-6-15 karmic tail.
